The long awaited return for Little Nightmares has been a lengthy effort for its fans. Although the success of the first two games cemented further installments for a trilogy, there has been a shakeup for the new release. Announced back in 2023, players have remained eager to see a new experience in that universe. But, there was a shift in the developer since Tarsier Studio was acquired by THQ Nordic prior to the game’s announcement.

Instead, fans have continued to wait for an update on Little Nightmares III. In one announcement previously, Bandai Namco confirmed the game would be delayed to 2025. More recently in summer last year, Supermassive Games did release a new gameplay trailer for Little Nightmares III which included a 2025 launch window for the title.

Now following the recent Little Nightmares Showcase, Bandai Namco confirms that Little Nightmares III is set to release this October ahead of Halloween. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Trapped in the Spiral, a world filled with delusions, Low & Alone are looking for a way out. Through their journey, they enter the Carnevale, a decrepit funfair which is the focus of the new trailer and gameplay deep dive,” the publisher shares in the press release. Pre-orders are now live including Dark Six Costumes Set for users on all platforms.

Additionally, Bandai Namco also went ahead sharing that post-launch plans are in motion for Little Nightmares III. In that, the new expansion pass ‘The Secrets of The Spiral’ will offer two additional chapters to the game. “The Secrets of The Spiral – Expansion Pass includes two additional chapters to explore, which will be detailed at a later date, as well as an exclusive Costumes Set featuring a character that fans might recognize.”
