Donkey Kong Bananza is here, and there are a lot of different items to collect. While players are searching for Bananas, there are other important items to collect, and we are here to detail each of the currencies in Donkey Kong Bananza.
Banandium Gems (Bananas) – By collecting Bananas from doing challenges, exploring, and discovering new sublayers, this currency allows you to unlock more skill points. There are over 700 Banandium Gems to collect all over the game.

Gold – Like every game, Donkey Kong Bananza has Gold. It’s satisfying to collect, but it may feel useless. However, you can use Gold to buy items, maps, Balloons, Apple Juice, and more at the Stuff Shop when you reach areas like Hilltop Layer. You’ll be able to talk to NPCs to unlock more.
With Gold, you can also clear paths around areas to make it easier to explore. You can also use this currency to set up “Getaways” to fall asleep and gain your health back, along with a few temporary extra hearts.

Fossils – Throughout each Sublayer in Donkey Kong Bananza, you’ll find tons of Fossils hidden within the rocks. Fossils allow you to buy clothes at the Clothes shops which are located at Hilltop Layer and other ones in small villages.

Banandium Chips – This currency is found on the ground, in chests, and in boxes all around. You can exchange them for Banandium Gems at the Chip Exchange shops that each sublayer has.
There is a lot to collect on Earth. You will likely find yourself playing the game for hours, looking for all chips, fossils, and Bananas!
Donkey Kong Bananza is exclusively available on the Switch 2.
