September could potentially be a big month for Nintendo as it will be Mario’s 40th anniversary, and it’s the last month before the big holiday push. There was recently a direct featuring only Kirby Air Riders that revealed its release date to be in November.
This morning, Switch Force, who has accurately revealed the most recent Nintendo Direct, may have just hinted at the September Direct. The user shared a post suggesting the next Direct will take place on September 12, 2025.
That would mean the September Nintendo Direct would be on a Friday and most likely in the morning for North American and European viewers.

The Direct could feature a mix of games and IP. Most likely, it’ll have a big feature on Mario since it’s a 40-year anniversary, and we could get details on the next Mario movie. What is also expected is a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It is planned to be released this year.
