How to unlock Ange in Path of Exile 2

Ange in Path of Exile 2 is a new NPC responsible for managing your shop. You can access him to sell items to earn money in the game. Unlock the Ange by completing the Hostile Takeover quest. Ange provides services like Currency Exchange, Hideout Selection, and Asynchronous Trading.

Diamora, Song of Death, is the mini-boss that you will encounter in Singing Caverns. So, equip your best weapon to defeat this boss and come with proper planning, as the boss has deadly attacks. Converting your premium stash tabs into merchant tabs is crucial to activate asynchronous trading. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to find and unlock Ange in Path of Exile 2, including how to acquire merchant tabs.

Who is Ange in PoE 2?

Ange is a merchant in Path of Exile 2 who provides services like Currency Exchange and Asynchronous Trading. Patch 0.3.0 brings this NPC into the game and is found in Kingsmarch during Act 4. You can easily find her near the wall in Kingsmarch. Ange is also related to the quest called Hostile Takeover. You can invite her to your hideout to gain the other services like Hideout Selection and Shop Management.

However, completing the Hostile Takeover is essential to invite Ange into your Hideout and get access to asynchronous trading. The quest requires you to complete several objectives, like clearing Shoreline Hideout.

How To Find Ange’s Location

Ange in Path of Exile 2 is located in the Kingsmarch in Act 4. Eliminate Doryani in Act 3 and approach the Alva and talk to her. This allows you to get inside the Kingsmarch, a coastal city. Ange will be available near the harbor, closer to the wooden ramp. This NPC will have a golden quest marker over her head.

Make your way to the opposite side of Rog’s shop, which is just across Tujen. The Hostile Takeover quest will be triggered by speaking with the Ange. A suitable location is required to create a Hideout. You can unlock the trade market in PoE 2 by completing this quest. Ange will now be available as an in-game market browser NPC.

Complete Hostile Takeover Quest

Simply travel to Whakapanu Island in the southeast of Kingsmarch to initiate this quest. Make sure you have already accepted the Hostile Takeover quest. You will encounter Makoru over there, so speak with him to progress further.

Now, you need to find the entrance of Singing Caverns in Whakapanu Island. Keep in mind that the map location is always different in POE 2, making it difficult to locate Singing Caverns. The entrance of this area is located in the northwest of the island.

Defeat Diamora, Song of Death

Eliminate the Diamora, Song of Death, using your best weapon after getting inside the Singing Caverns. Increase your Cold Resistance before engaging with this boss, as it has deadly attacks. The boss has two different phases, and the second one is more devastating than the first one.

Diamora has multiple attacks that can deal heavy damage to your character. Watch out for these devastating attacks, as they can drain your health pretty easily. Equip the best weapon to deal massive damage and use an effective strategy to avoid taking any damage. She also uses a cold breath attack that you can simply avoid by getting beside or behind. She also has an attack where she throws water spouts by slamming a giant ball of water. You can avoid this attack by simply dodging it at the right moment.

The boss will become petrifying light by transforming in the middle of the arena after dealing with 50% of her health. All you need to do is avoid the water bubbles till he transforms back and start dealing damage to other enemies in the arena.

Talk to Ange To Access the Hideout

Make your way back to the Kingsmarch to speak with the Ange after defeating Diamora, Song of Death. Choosing the “Travel to Shoreline Hideout” dialogue option allows you to teleport to the beach, where deadly creatures are lurking. Equip your weapon to eliminate all the enemies in that location. Speaking with the Ange allows you to unlock your Hideout and gain access to the following things.

  • Reforging Bench
  • Relic Locker
  • Map Device
  • Wardrobe Decoration
  • Stash
  • Waypoint
  • Well
  • Salvage Bench

Place the items that you purchase from the Microtransaction Shop or gain by finishing the achievements to customize your Hideout.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
