Clawline is a typical hookshot grapple ability that allows you to hook onto those golden rings you see around the world. This ability is required to hook into objects like hoops or enemies. Use this ability to boost your exploration in the game, making your progression fast. Find the altar and interact with it in The Cauldron. Clawline allows you to grapple onto rings.
Use it to pull yourself towards the enemy. You throw the silk-strung needle like a harpoon and charge towards it to cover the distance. How To Obtain Clawline in Hollow Knight: Silksong
Clawline or Grappling Hook is a unique ability that can be unlocked at The Cauldron in Underworks in Pharloom. You need to traverse across pools of lava to reach. Move to the left and then drop down to the lava floors to turn right after moving the top left bench. You must find a door before getting to the top after going to the rightmost part and climbing up.
Acquire White Key
To unlock the Clawline, you need to get your hands on the White Key. This key is located in The Citadel once you reach Act 2. Specifically, it will be chilling on the ground at the top, far right of the Choral Chamber in the small town called Enclave.
It’s crucial to note that the White Key will only be here on the ground if you have not yet cleansed. If you have already gone inside the building in Songclave, just to the left, and actually hit the bell to clean it. This allows you to bring the village to life, and there’ll be a bunch of NPCs around and stuff, and the key will disappear.
Accept Side Quest
All you need to do is accept the side quest from the Wishboard. Make your way to the Wish Wall in Bellhart to accept the quest. You may have to teleport away and come back for the board to appear. If you do, you will see a side quest just above the Choral Chambers called The Wandering Merchant. Go ahead and accept that side quest. Then all you need to do is head down to the Choral Chambers on the leftmost part.
Find Jubilana
You need to head down to the Choral Chambers and speak with the Jubilana. Jubilana is a pilgrim merchant located inside the halls of Choral Chambers.
- Make your way to the vertical area of the Choral Chamber.
- You will find bodies on top of a platform on the left side.
- Jubilana’s movement can be indicated by interacting with the bodies.
- You will come across more bodies once you start following the trail.
- You will find yourself in the smaller vertical area of the Choral Chambers after passing through the hallways.
Move inside any of the rooms to the left and use your weapon to defeat the enemies. Jubilana will pop up from a hidden place after you defeat the enemies. Speaking with this NPC allows you to complete The Wandering Merchant quest.
After you’ve talked to him, return to hand in the quest. This will unlock the Wondering merchant enclave as a well merchant. Interact with this merchant to buy the White Key from him.
Move Inside Underworks
Use the White key to activate the elevator. When you reach the bottom of this elevator, you need to run all the way to the left and start climbing up.
- Be careful of the flying enemies here and some spinning spikes on the ground.
- Continue across the shaft of the elevator you came down.
- After that, drop down one more floor in this long hallway.
- There are going to be a couple of enemies that will start standing up. If you’re quick enough, you can just jump over them without the need to defeat them.
- Jump up across the platform and continue to the right one more time.
- When you get to the end, make sure to drop down. Keep on dropping down until you realize you’re in the Underworks area.
Once you’re in the Underworks, head over to the left to reach the bench over there. I highly recommend that you stop and rest at this bench as the can be a little bit tricky. Because if you die, you don’t want to be starting all the way up in the Choral Chambers.
Move To the Bottom of Underworks
From the bench, head off to the left, and there’ll be a switch here that you can use to activate the Windraft. Use the wind to go out to the left.
- Once you’re in the main area, go all the way down to the bottom.
- Be careful, as there will be lava all the way to the bottom.
- Go off into the right, being careful with explosive enemies.
This is just a bit of a tricky sort of platforming section with a few enemies. This part can take a few tries, so don’t worry.
Acquire the Clawline
Once you get to the end, climb up and move into the room next to you. Use sprint and jump across all these sorts of platforms in the lava. When you get to the end of this room, you will finally be able to pick up the Clawline by interacting with the shrine.
