Mosshome in Hollow Knight Silksong is one of the earliest zones you explore in Moss Grotto. Learn your first skill, Silkspear, in this area. Collect 3 Mossberries around Mosshome and the surrounding areas to complete the quest. The Druid is located in a small hut on the eastern side in the upper rooms after unlocking the first skill.
Progressing through this biome is difficult due to numerous threats inside. Explore every corner to unveil all the secrets. Some Upgrades, like an increase in silk energy using Spool Fragments, have parts located around or in this area. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to progress in Mosshome, including some tips to collect useful items while progressing.
Purchase Compass From Shakra
Get inside the first room of Mosshome and drop down to move to the left. Defeat the enemies in this area, as they attack you when you get closer to them. While the first enemy jumps to attack you, the other one rolls towards you. Make your way to the left and get your hands on the Rosaries from the thread. Jump over the platforms to move up. Be aware of the flying enemy on the left.
Use this enemy to move to the upper left ledge. Locate the Shakra map merchant on the path to the right. Purchase the compass from this NPC and the Shard Pendant. Both of these items are for Yellow tools. Rest at the bench to mark it as a checkpoint.
Collect Spool Fragment
Travel all the way back to that bug and get inside the next room. Drop down and travel to the right to collect Rosaries and Shell Shards. Keep moving down and hit the lever to cut off the stick. This allows you to unlock the path to the left and step into it to move down. You will find yourself outside of the Bone Bottom. Move to the right after moving back up to the left.
Pass through the gaps to get inside the area next to you. Climb up in this room and collect more Rosaries, but be aware of the traps. Position yourself on the first floor to pop up the spikes, and the same goes for the second floor. Destroy the bottom left wall to move inside and collect the Spool Fragment.
Find Choral Commandment
Locate the big button on the ground by moving to the left. Climb up in this area after pressing it. Get back to the lift and approach the room above. Move all the way back to Shakra’s location and move up to travel to the right side of the bench. You will find yourself in the wide chamber. Get inside the mossy room and find Puker after you travel to the left. Rush towards this enemy and use your weapon to finish it off. Find the lever on the left by jumping over the above platform.
You will get to that bug’s room that you used to move to the upper ledge. Climb all the way above to get into the next chamber. Collect the Rosaries from the tiny alcove and move to the right to break the wall on the left side. Destroying the wall allows you to acquire Charol Commandment in this area.
Acquire Silkspear
Be aware of the spikes after moving back and traveling all the way to the right. Don’t break the pots and see the item above. Run to the right side and defeat the rolling enemy. Pass through this area filled with spikes that appear when you touch the ropes in the above path. You will see two different paths to the right. There are spiderwebs in the lower path.
Take the above path to listen to the singing noise. Defeat the enemy in this area and be aware of the spike traps on the ledge on the left side. Climb up to collect Rosaries. Bind the door ahead after moving to the left to gain Silkspear ability. Press R1 to use this skill, but it consumes your spool when activated. Use this skill to destroy the spiderwebs on the left side.
How to Find Moss Druid
Defeat the enemy in this new area. There are some spike traps, so use the rope to traverse through this area. Move up the platform and collect Frayed Rosary String from the right. Use the needle to slash the rope to drop down. Move to the area where the Spiderwebs were blocking the path. Travel down and get into the secret path after destroying the Spiderwebs. Defeat the enemy in this area and move to the end to collect Mossberry.
Travel all the way back to the previous room and move upward, and get inside the area on the right. Use Rosaries to activate the bench to rest at it and mark it as a checkpoint. You will find Moss Druid (Singing Lady) to gain a Gather – Berry Picking quest.
How to Get Druid’s Eye
Collect all three Mossberries from the Mosshome and give them to the Moss Druid to gain the Druid’s Eye. This is a defensive Blue Tool, a stronger Mossberry amulet that releases Silk when damaged. Equip this tool to use it when necessary.
How to Get Silk Heart
Make your way to the right from the elevator. This elevator is available between Mosshome and Bone Bottom. Locate the room that has two tripwires, and you need to keep ascending. Use the Silk Strike to deal with it and get inside. Break the left wall after passing through the traps. Get your hands on the Silk Heart, allowing you to unveil a secret in this chamber.
