Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios officially announced Forza Horizon 6 during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast. It was confirmed that the game will be set in Japan after years of fans requesting this location.
The developer confirmed Forza Horizon 6 will be released first on Xbox consoles and PC. It’ll also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. However, will it release on PS5, given the success its predecessor had this year?

Playground Games has confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will first release on Xbox consoles and PC in 2026, with plans to collaborate with Turn 10 Studios for a post-launch release on PlayStation 5. More information and gameplay of the newest Forza Horizon will be showcased in early 2026.
Forza Horizon 5 has been one of the best-selling games on PlayStation 5 this year. It’s a no-brainer for Microsoft to bring arguably the best racing franchise this generation to the platform again. A Switch 2 version does not seem to be in the works right now.
