Xbox kicked off Tokyo Game Show with its annual live stream, sharing updates on current games and revealing upcoming games. To conclude the show, Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games revealed that Forza Horizon 6 will be released in 2026.
It was confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will be set in Japan, the most requested setting from fans since the series started. The game will release Day One with Game Pass, and it will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
This was a tough secret to keep over the last few weeks because it was leaked through an Instagram post by an employee that the game would be set in Japan. It was then confirmed by insiders shortly after that this would happen during Tokyo Game Show 2025.
The trailer that was released today did not show any gameplay, but Playground Games did confirm they will be showcasing more Forza Horizon 6 in early 2026.
Forza Horizon 6 will be released first on Xbox consoles and PC in 2026. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are working together to bring the game to PlayStation 5 post-launch.
