Take-Two Interactive denies reports of GTA 6 having a digital-only launch

In January, there was a report from PPE.pl claiming there would be no physical version of GTA 6 at launch and it would be a digital-only release. The idea would be to prevent leaks from happening ahead of its release in November.

Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, responded to the reports by denying this would happen and said in the earnings call, “That’s not the plan”. No other words were said about it. 

When Grand Theft Auto 6 releases, expect there to be a physical release for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. 

Take-Two Doubles Down On November 2026 Release

Take-Two Interactive reaffirms that GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, and has confirmed marketing for the game will start this Summer when speaking to IGN. 

In other news, GTA 5 has now surpassed 225 million copies sold worldwide since its release in 2013.
