Steam Controller to release on May 4 in Japan

Update: Valve officially announced all the details for the Steam Controller today.

ORIGINAL: Valve is getting ready to release its new Steam hardware, including the interesting Steam Controller that will pair with the Steam Machine. According to recent leaks, the controller is in the hands of select media outlets, and an early review indicates it will be released on May 4 in Japan.

The outlet, 4Gamer, posted its review early, which has since been taken down. On the Google search result, it shows that the Steam Controller will be released next week.

The outlet also released images of the Steam Controller, which you can see here. They compare it to the Xbox and DualSense controllers, and it’s noticeably bigger than the two.

The price of the Steam Controller is expected to be $99.99 USD. News for the controller should be coming soon from Valve since it’s supposed to be released in just a week, according to 4Gamer.
