Nintendo released its financial results for Q1 2026, revealing sales numbers within this timeframe, including new game releases. It was announced that Pokémon Pokopia has sold over 4 million copies on the Switch 2 in 5 weeks after launch.
Pokémon Pokopia launched as a Switch 2-only game and became a popular title among fans of “cozy games”. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream was another game with a similar style that sold almost the same amount in just two weeks. The 4 million units count physical and digital sales. Nintendo does note that the game is sold by The Pokémon Company in Japan.
Nintendo also announced a price increase for the Switch 2, which goes into effect on September 1.
