Twitch announced two pretty big new features this week in uploads and Twitch Prime.
The new uploads feature is currently in beta, and allows all users to upload videos from an external source directly to their channel. All of your past broadcasts can now be downloaded and then re-uploaded for permanent storage as uploaded videos never expire. This also allows you to edit your videos prior to re-uploading them. Just as normal notifications go, followers will be notified when you publish or upload a video to your feed as well. This will allow for a number of new videos on Twitch, such as walkthroughs, guides etc rather than your simple game streams.
The Twitch Prime was announced as part of your Amazon Prime deal this week. Those who do not have Prime currently, can sign up for a free 30 day trial while existing subscribers simply have to link their Twitch channel through your settings menu. In addition to your normal Prime features, you will also get free in game loot each month in the form of skins and boosts on top of one free subscription each month. You also get a copy of the game Streamline when it launches.
