Sony announced in April 2017 that the Jak PS2 games would be coming to #PS2PS4, and just a few days after, four more games leaked. Later in May, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X launched in the service! This is amazing, but it’s far from perfect. Here’s what I’ve seen people ask for a LOT, plus some games I would love to see come to the service!
SOCOM
The biggest loss Sony ever took in PlayStation history was closing Zipper Interactive. They just released Unit 13 at the time and were working on two new PS4 games; SOCOM 5 and a new IP. Well, Zipper is gone, and SOCOM has proven to be the most requested PlayStation game ever. No matter how many polls they put out, SOCOM always comes out on top.
Sony NEEDS to throw the PS2 SOCOM games up on #PS2PS4, it only seems right.
We haven’t forgotten about this:
And we can’t ignore the 11K people in this community either:
Need for Speed: Underground
Next to SOCOM, Need for Speed’s Underground subseries seems to be what people want back the most. These EA games are also very important to me as well, as I used to play them as a kid. These games had killer soundtracks and were incredibly fun to play. We deserve to have these games on #PS2PS4, and it’s a shame we don’t have them yet.
The Harry Potter series
Given the mass amount of Potterheads out there, you think EA would also bring these over. Yes, Warner Brothers now has the license for games, but I’m sure they can work something out to get these games back on PS4. Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire were crazy amazing games, and that’s actually not a joke. Ninety-nine percent of the time games based off of movies suck, but both of these games are exceptions.
Simpsons: Hit & Run
Never played this but apparently this is the holy grail of kids games. Never understood this game but hell if it comes, might as well see what all the hype is about!
The Getaway games
These games are considered poor man versions of Grand Theft Auto, which I can agree with. But hell, I can name you 20 people off the top of my head that want to play these games again, and all Getaway games are from Sony’s own London Studio. There’s zero excuse why these games can’t make the transition.
Bring it!! #ps2ps4 please! @AlphaFoxWarfare @LondonStudioHQ @PlayStation @ShawnLayden @yosp We need these classics!! #buildingthelist pic.twitter.com/eBhFJiI2iD

Gran Turismo
I’ve honestly never hated a Sony studio more than Polyphony Digital. Don’t get me wrong, I’m crazy obsessed with Gran Turismo, but the upcoming title Gran Turismo Sport was announced a long time ago and still hasn’t launched. They even released Gran Turismo 6 AFTER PS4 launched and still didn’t at least port the game over to the new system. We NEED 3 & 4 to at least come over. C’mon Sony, I understand Polyphony makes more money than all of your studios combined, but they are completely ridiculous sometimes.
Pac-Man games
Man, if there’s one game that defined my “party game” experiences it would be Pac-Man Fever (pictured above). This game… man it was not only whack as hell, but offered so much variety for mini games and it was just a blast to play. I’m a sucker for a good party game, and this was a perfect example of a game I wish would come back. Basically, you travel around a Monopoly-style map and then fight each other in mini games. Amazing times with this one!
Xenosaga
I’ve never played any of these games, but every single time I search #PS2PS4 on Twitter around four out of every 10 tweets will have this game in it. It’s some kind of cult classic I assume, so why not! If all these people love it, I’d love to play it!
Persona!
Persona 5 launched (as of 4/12/17) only a week ago and it still surprises me that we don’t have Persona 3 and Persona 4 on #PS2PS4 yet. However, after Persona 5 sold 1.5 million units only a few days after the NA/EU launch, I think it would be in Sega/Atlus’ best interests to bring them over. Don’t you agree? ;)
Sly Cooper Trilogy
Alright Sucker Punch, you’re yet another Sony developer that has yet to put their games on #PS2PS4. Sly is probably Sony’s best platforming series and should be loved by the new generation.
Team Ico games
Shadow of the Colossus and ICO are CLASSICS, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t come to PS4. These two titles games are excellent (but they have crappy controls)
Black
If you had a PS2 back in the day, chances are you’ve played this shooter. EA basically took Criterion and bad them make the best looking PS2 game possible and out game this thrilling shooter. Seeing this return would be absolutely NUTS!
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Now almost any time I put out a Tweet asking what people want from #PS2PS4, a good chunk of people reply with Dragon Quest VIII. I never played this game nor have understood any Dragon Quest story but I’m gonna have to jump right into this baby if all I hear is good things from it!

Yay for Harvest Moon. Can we get @DragonQuest VIII Journey of the Cursed King on @PlayStation 4 as well? #ps2ps4 @AlphaFoxWarfare
