Following the release of Valkyria Chronicles 4 on September 15, the original Valkyria Chronicles will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch a month later.

Sega announced that the original 2008 strategy game will be arriving on Nintendo Switch on October 16 at their panel in Seattle for this year’s PAX West.

Also announced to influence sales was for those who have Valkyria Chronicles 4 in their Switch game library will receive a 25 percent discount on the first installment when it is available on the platform.

With the exciting news for Nintendo’s console, Sega has confirmed that this will not be the remastered version of the game. To expect the game to run at 1080p, 60 fps this coming October might not be a reality like on other consoles. It’s better to have expectations similar to how Valkyria Chronicles 4 will run on the Nintendo Switch.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
