About a month ago it was announce by Rockstar Games that the online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 will have an open beta go live sometime in November.

It will launch in public beta towards the end of the month.

In a Q&A for Take-Two’s quarterly earnings call it was revealed that the beta will be coming by the end of the month. Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick expands on the subject specifying that players will be able to play solo or with a posse and expanding on the prior title from 2010.

Take-Two President Karl Slatoff gave some detail on what’s to come for the upcoming beta:

“Red Dead Online is an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative game-play in fun new ways,”

It wasn’t mentioned by Zelnick when exactly fans will be able to jump into Red Dead Online for the recently released title nor how online monetisation will playout. Now with a more concrete timeframe, players will have enough time to at least reach the end of the game’s story if they have not already.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
