Pokémon’s first mainline Nintendo Switch titles have been revealed and they are Pokémon Sword & Shield. The games are a completely new, RPG with Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon being the latest in 2017 on the 3DS. The trailer revealed today featured the full 3D setting and a bunch of new areas in the new region, Galar.

The three new starters for Sword and Shield were also revealed. Your fire-type is Scorbunny, grass-type is Grookey, and water-type is Sobble. As you can see below:

The Pokémon company revealed its 23rd anniversary so it makes sense that their next generation title was revealed as well today. Pokémon Sword & Shield will be launching late 2019 only on the Nintendo Switch. The company also said that throughout the year they will be revealing more Pokémon related news.
