It’s April Fools day, but it looks like someone at Gearbox Software has tweeted some intel early about Borderlands 3 on the official account. According to the one tweet it said that the recently announced title would be launching on September 13, 2019 and when you pre-order you’ll receive a Gold Weapon Skins Pack. You can see the tweet archived here. The other tweet had an official trailer which at the end had the Epic Games Store logo and that will mean Borderlands 3 will be launching on that platform for PC unsurprisingly.
Luckily, Wario64 on Twitter had saved the video and posted it.

Some of these tweets seemed to be scheduled as it was found on the official Borderlands website, but it was taken down a little after it was found. You can see the image below:
Usually when it’s an April Fools joke it’s more obvious and it wouldn’t be deleted at all. There’s an event coming up on Wednesday, April 3rd that will reveal more info regarding Borderlands 3. It seems that the upcoming event will have the official release date and all the platforms it’ll come to and possibly more gameplay to come.
At PAX East 2019 the folks at Gearbox announced Borderlands 3 during a conference-like panel. Other announcements included Borderlands 3: Game Of The Year Edition which will be playable on April 3rd, Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch, and a bunch of other indie game reveals. The other news was the Borderlands: The Handome Collection is getting a UHD pack for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.
We’ll see what happens on April 3rd now that most of it seems like it leaked ahead of time.
