For the past few weeks over at League of Legends developer Riot Games, discussion on the matter of sexual assault regarding the employees at the studio has been taken less seriously looking at how the higher ups of the company disregard workers attempting to sue the company by pushing policies forcing arbitration.

Now today, more than 150 employees at the studio in Los Angeles in protest of Riot’s recent decision have walked out as planned from those at the developer have scheduled last week. Dozens of employees occupying the company parking lot protest the enforced policies with picket signs and performing speeches on the subject.

Kotaku reporting at the protest interviewed Riot Games’ Jocely Monahan and spoke with her and what those who participate in the walk out are looking to achieve from the act.

“We’re asking that forced arbitration be ended for all past, current, and future Riot employees, including contractors and in current litigation,” Monahan tells the outlet. “I want us to feel like our voices are heard and heard in a way that matters.”

According to an email that Kotaku received earlier today, Riot Games does condone those who chose to participate in the walk out, stating that management should not intervene and be understanding towards the matter.

Some of the signs employees displayed at the protest read “Silence one of us, you silence us all,” and “It shouldn’t take all this to do the right thing.” As this walk out is stamped to be one of the first major labor-related protests for a major developer, this could impact other studios that might be affected the same way as those at Riot Games.
