Nintendo has announced a brand new Animal Crossing game today during it’s 2015 Digital Event @ E3 as well as showed off a new trailer for Animal Crossing:  Happy Home Designer which launches later this year on September 25th and will have you decorating homes to the residents requirements. Adding new villlagers to your town will require the amiibo NFC cards made specifically for the game.  A bundle will be made available that includes an NFC reader for Nintendo 3DS that do not support amiibo.

Also announced was a new Wii U Animal Crossing game called Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. The game is essentially Mario Party without the minigames.  New Animal Crossing amiibo will be required to play the game. The trailer below will hopefully help you understand the game a little bit better. Unfortunately it isn’t a proper entry into the series, and fans who were hoping for a Animal Crossing U are going to have to wait and see if it ever comes. Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival launches later this year.
