This week has been very eventful regarding the Nintendo Switch: most recently with the latest Indie World live Direct which revealed a handful of independently developed titles that will be arriving to the hybrid handheld console in the coming months. But regarding one announcement that was revealed during the show, developer Phoenix Labs made an appearance sharing that Dauntless will be available for Nintendo Switch following the presentation.
Shadowdropping the game, now switch users will be able to join their console & PC counterparts in the free online RPG. Watch the newest trailer for the game just below:
In celebration of the game’s addition to Nintendo Switch, new users will receive the exclusive Skyfighter Armor Set and Skymetal Weapon Set free of charge. Teased within the trailer just above, the upcoming Stormchasers expansion was teased which is said to include the bold-lettered cross-platform play compatibility later in 2020. Conveniently, cross-save is also shared to be coming with the approaching expansion to make things more accessible when on the go.
Currently, the version available on the Nintendo eShop will be up to date as versions on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC. Interesting enough, the description also teases to “look forward to regular updates, season events, new Behemoths, and more in a rich, evolving world,” implying that the game will receive similar support following the game’s sudden drop on Nintendo Switch.
Elsewhere during this week’s Indie World show, it was announced that Atomic Wolf’s Liberated will also be making way to the Switch in the coming year. You can read the full report by heading here.
