Fans who were initially hoping to see Persona 5 on Nintendo Switch got what they wanted, in a way. Atlus earlier this year revealed Persona 5 Scramble to be what is cooking for the Switch alongside a release on PlayStation 4 as well. Following in the shoes of the formula for Musuo games hack and slash, the premise of the title would follow about half a year of the initial story in Persona 5.
The title for the name did, however, look to confuse some fans due to the choosing of word, Scramble. Regardless, the title was later on accepted as players decided to pick up the name despite the unusual titling of the project. But now it looks that the title might actually have a different name in the west than in Japan, what a surprise.
According to a trademarked image that was discovered to be filed by Sega, the photo states the titling for the game to be “Persona 5 Strikers”, instead of the initial Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.
Aside from the new finding that was submitted by the game’s publisher, this also correlates with a previous discovery earlier in October: revealing the name Persona 5 Strikers to be some of the bevies of titles that will be arriving to Nintendo Switch in Japan. However, this does go on to suggest that Strikers will be the shortened version for the West that Atlus has a history of doing with previous installments.
