Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remakes have sold a combined 4 million copies since they released.
It had been reported previously that Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake had sold over two million copies in less than one month from its release.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake released on November 14, 2024, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake launched for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam on October 30, 2025.
The news comes just in time for Dragon Quest’s 40th anniversary, which Square Enix is going to be celebrating this year with more announcements in the near future.
