Major Nelson today announced that the Xbox 360 preview features from the last few months are available to everyone starting today.

Xbox 360 players can now redeem codes right from their messages just like Xbox One users and can also see the name of the app or game someone is using instead of the annoying “Xbox One” only message. A version of the activity feed has also been added where you can like friends’ posts, look at screen shots, post updates and more. It will also be similar to the Xbox One version except it will only be under your social tab in the dashboard not the main screen

Perhaps the best part of the update is the addition of the cloud storage. A total of 2GB of cloud storage is available now for all Xbox 360 games. Now, that may not sound like a lot with most Xbox One games being upwards of over 20GBs, but remember Xbox 360 games take up a much smaller size of storage then the Xbox One games as they do not require the entire game to be stored in order to run. As Major Nelson notes, it’s excellent for storing those games you want over on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
