We know the story already of Telltale Games’ unfortunate closure in October 2018 and the aftermath which ultimately cut The Walking Dead: The Final Season to a halt shortly after the second episode of four launched. However, interactive entertainment division Skybound Games, the subsidiary of Skybound who publishes the titular comic series, acquired the publishing rights to episodic series and soon released the reworked Definitive Series of the Telltale lineage.
Although Skybound Games did settle the publishing rights for the franchise from then-closed Telltale Games, the games were already delisted from major platforms. But now the series is finally returning to Steam on PC and Nintendo Switch users will also have some entries of the series according to a new post.
Developer Skybound Games has announced that all four seasons of Telltale’s The Walking Dead has arrived to Steam today while Season 2 & 3 dropped on the Nintendo eShop just yesterday.
While The Walking Dead is now in the hands of Skybound Games, Telltale Games resurfaced through a new parent company LCG Entertainment. The company states that through this reopening of Telltale Games would pursue creating future installments for pre-existing intellectual properties.
LCG Entertainment have already proven to do so with a previous announcement back in December. It was revealed last month during the Game Awards that the long-awaited Wolf Among Us 2 has reentered active development. You can read the full report by heading here.
