Last month in May, Microsoft during its first monthly Xbox 20/20 showcase for the Xbox Series X unveiled that Madden NFL 21 is underway with an agreement for the coming title to be available for new Xbox Series X owners who purchase the game on current Xbox One. However, it was revealed in a press release elsewhere that the opportunity to download the game for free will only be available until March 31, 2021.
Now during Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcase recently, 2K and Visual Concepts official reveal NBA 2K21 with an announcement trailer presenting pre-alpha renders of the game’s engine on PlayStation 5. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
It is suspected that publisher 2K and development studio Visual Concepts is priming a full reveal for the game later on in the coming months. EA Sports planned to do so with the coming Madden NFL 21 initially, but due to recent racial injustices in the United States, the company decided to postpone the full showcase.
It was revealed over a week ago that the game will receive a rescheduled, livestreamed feature to shed the new additions to the next Madden title. In the letterhead, EA Sports shares that the intentions of the decision is to amplify the voices in protest against the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Elsewhere during the PlayStation 5 event, Sony also unveiled that Insomniac Games is in the midst of curating the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You can read the full announcement by heading here.
Are you planning on picking up NBA 2K21 later this year?
NBA 2K21 is listed for PlayStation 5; suspected the full reveal will share versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
