During today’s EA Play Live event, Electronic Arts handed the mic over to Respawn Entertainment to initiate this year’s show with an overview of new additions coming to their still growing battle royale, Apex Legends. In that, the developer announced a new event making its way to the game next week – dubbed the Lost Treasures Collection Event.

What this new event is set to offer includes a returning mode alongside an update to the recently reworked King’s Canyon. This Tuesday, players will be able to drop in pre-equipped with shotguns and sniper rifles with Armed and Dangerous Evolved. Initially introduced during the Voidwalker Event back in September, the new reiteration has swapped the equipped shield with an Evo Shield and confiscated all respawn beacons on the map.

Watch for yourself in the trailer below:

Instead, players will now find themselves already in possession of a mobile respawn beacon for the limited time mode which allows users to decide when and where to resuscitate their squad mates. Respawn Entertainment adds that the new equipment will be added to regular matches & ranked following the closure of the Lost Treasures Event.

As for the redecorated King’s Canyon, players can find Crypto’s Map Room being the newest addition to the game. With that, players can unearth more of the deeper details related to the timed event for Apex Legends. Mirage also gets the spotlight, of course, as his Heirloom also takes the stage as well. The prop is a “Best Competition in the Battle Royale” statue that he flaunts and plays audio cues of yours truly.

Elsewhere during the show, Respawn Entertainment revealed that Apex Legends will be debuting on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year. Not only that, but the game will be linked between all version via cross-platform play as well. You can read the full report by heading here.

The Lost Treasures Collection Event will commence on June 23, 2020 and run until July 7, 2020.

Apex Legends is out now for Xbox one, PlayStation 4, and PC.
