blur domain renewed

It was noticed today that Xbox and Activision have renewed the Blur domain until June 30, 2027. The arcade racer was released in May 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The studio was later shut down by Activision as the game did not meet expectations at the time.

The domain “blurgame.com” was updated on May 29, 2025, the 15th anniversary of the game’s release. This could mean absolutely nothing, as many companies like to keep ownership of their domains just in case something comes up down the road.

The discovery of the domain update was from WhoIs.

What also sparked some interest is that Activision renewed the Prototype domain, which has fans speculating that a line of remasters could be coming.

Microsoft or Activision has not indicated that a return of Blur would be happening, but anything is possible now.
