A New ID@Xbox X IGN Showcase Is Being Hosted On October 28th

In recent days, the current forecast over Xbox has been very troublesome for the platform. It was revealed that Xbox Game Pass is being restructured; costing Ultimate subscribers $30 when it goes live soon. However, that is not entirely the case. At least in select European markets, concurring members will still pay the original pricing for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. 

Additionally, there were rumors of the platform upright shelving further investment into in-house hardware. But, of course, the Xbox firm has since addressed this to not be accurate on its upcoming plans. “We are actively investing in our future first-party consoles and devices designed, engineered and built by Xbox,” it told in a statement to Windows Central.

Now for something to look forward to from Team Green, it was announced that a new ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase is to be held later this month. The last presentation was held back in February 2025. You can read the full list of featured companies below:

“The event will be packed with exclusive trailers, new looks, and gameplay for games from indie publishers including Serenity Forge, Thunder Lotus, Raw Fury, Skybound, and many more. The show will consist of about 50 minutes of brand new content across various genres,” IGN reveals. The outlet has confirmed that the livestream will be held through its multiple channels on YouTube, X, Twitch, and Facebook.

Concerning ID@Xbox, it was revealed earlier this year that the indie game initiative has generated over $5 billion in revenue since its founding over a decade ago. Titles like Cuphead, Fortnite, Superhot, Subnautica, and Hades are prime examples of excellence that shipped under the banner. You can read the full report by heading here.
