Developer Respawn Entertainment while just brushing up on the recently concluded Aftermarket Collection Event this week, another titled event is scheduled to take place this week. Alike in 2019, the Fright or Fight Event will be returning with the fan-favorite game mode Shadowfall (now titled Shadow Royale) alongside a collection of unique in-game items to earn as well.

To get the obvious out of the way, Shadow Royale is currently the only gateway to introduce wall-running to Apex Legends. While a fundamental feature from the inspired Titanfall, the mechanic is absent in the battle royale. Even Respawn Entertainment itself acknowledges that players might be excited to see it in the game also. “Fans of previous Respawn games should keep their eyes peeled for certain…mobility enhancements…when playing as a Shadow Legend,” the blog post reads.

You can watch the trailer for this year’s Fight or Fright event in the video below:

To refresh on the basis of Shadow Royale, players will be given the opportunity to revisit King’s Canyon Night with the ability to resurrect after dying. But as illustrated in the trailer, the fallen are granted extraordinary abilities to eliminate the remaining players. Noted, the event looks to also return King’s Canyon season 1 with Skull Town back to its original form!

Again reflecting on last year’s Fight or Fright event, players can also visit the in-game shop to pick up new items introduced for the festivities. Even more, all unique unlocks from last year’s event will also be making a return for users to acquire if missing from the first time.

Recently, ESRB rated Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch. The timing suggests the game is beign prepared to hit the Nintendo eShop very soon. It should also be noted that the studio also framed the Steam version to drop in fall alongside Switch, so two versions could be underway for a same-day release.
