Discover everything you need to know about the Last Resort Event in Arc Raiders, including how to earn merit.
Last Resort Event, introduced in the Riven Tides update, is a limited-time event in Arc Raiders. You earn Merits from gameplay and Ship Models to unlock rewards. Your XP converts into Merits, which unlock cosmetics and rewards. This requires you to complete the missions, eliminate enemies, and find Ship Models for bonus progress. Unlike older events, you don’t need to follow specific tasks because everything you do contributes. In this Last Resort Event Guide, we explore how to earn Merits and the best locations to find Ship Models.
Last Resort Event Breakdown
The Last Resort Event in Arc Raiders is a limited-time live event, specially designed as a progression and reward system. Players can take part in this event from April 28 to May 25, 2026. It focuses more on earning a special currency called Merits to unlock 21 rewards across 3 pages. I recommend thinking of it as a seasonal progression track that rewards you just for playing. Playing each match lets you gain XP, which is automatically converted into Merits. It’s worth noting that 100 XP = 1 Merit.

Last Resort Event Breakdown
You don’t need a special mode for this event, and it works on any map or activity. The objective here is to find Ship Models during raids to instantly gain extra Merits. Different models, ranging from Common to Legendary, give different amounts of Merits. Completing the sequential page allows you to earn rewards like Cosmetics, Backpack Attachments, Charms, Gadgets, Raider Tokens, and more.
How To Earn Merits in Last Resort
Arc Raiders offer multiple ways to earn XP, making it easier to get more Merits quickly. You must aim for getting more XP, which is now converted into Merits. Killing enemies, looting containers, completing objectives, and extracting successfully, letting you earn XP. Below are all the best possible ways to earn Merits fast.

Earn Merits in Last Resort
- Kill more enemies like ARC units, loot everything, complete missions, and extract safely.
- Avoid unnecessary PvP unless confident and take only safe fights. Successful runs are better than risky ones.
- Use fast loot routes and quick extraction points for more XP.
- Find Ship Models during raids to gain additional Merits instantly. They are mostly located on the Riven Tides map, so treat them as bonus pickups.
- Beachcombing activities are an extra opportunity for extra rewards, so play the Riven Tides map more often.
- Upgrade weapons, armor, and blueprints to boost Merit farming speed.
How To Find Ship Models
The game has no fixed guaranteed locations for the Ship Modes, requiring you to find them randomly during a raid. They don’t appear on the map or compass, so you must manually search and loot to earn more Merits. Below are the best locations to search for the Ship Models in Riven Tides.

Find Ship Models
- Hotel Panorama Azzurro: Search reception area, hallways, tables, desks, shelves, and chairs on the west side of the Riven Tides map.
- Port Area & Shipping Containers: Look for multiple containers around the Port Authority and inside shipping containers.
- Beachcombing Areas: Use Dockmaster’s Detector to scan sand to dig hidden caches containing rare or legendary Ship Models at the beaches across Riven Tides.
- Industrial & Checkpoint Areas: Found inside buildings, lockers, and containers at Weighing Checkpoint. The spawn rate is lower than the Hotel, but still viable.
- General Indoor Areas: Spawns in houses, offices, resort buildings, and storage rooms. They are placed like small decorative items with no glow.
The gameplay loop to get Ship Models is to spawn on the Riven Tides map, go straight to Hotel Panorama Azzurro, loot all rooms, travel to the Port, do Beachcombing, and extract safely. Go to the north side of the map to find them by using the Detector.
How To Use Dockmaster’s Detector To Find Ship Models
The Dockmaster’s Detector works like a metal detector for buried loot. This is basically used during the Beachcombing map condition on the Riven Tides map, letting you uncover hidden sand caches containing Ship Models. The detector doesn’t work properly outside Beachcombing. Make your way to the sandy beaches on the north side or near Port Authority.

Use Dockmaster’s Detector
Put this device in your gadget slot and activate it manually. Keep in mind that it replaces your weapon while in use, making you vulnerable during this time. Walk slowly across the sand and listen for signals. The Signal gives you a hint as you approach the buried item. Interact with the Dig prompt to unearth the cache to gain rewards like loot containers, ammo, or Ship Models.
Beachcombing caches have higher chances for rare models, which is much better than just looting buildings filled with enemies. Beaches are open, and Arc enemies can drop in, so scan the surroundings while digging.
