Yesterday, it was reported and confirmed that Sony has officially shut down Bluepoint Games, the developers behind many memorable PlayStation titles. The studio was responsible for modern remakes of Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus.
When this report came out, X (Twitter) user Maxime Foulquier revealed that Sony sent him a cease and desist letter regarding a Bloodborne remake project he was making himself. He posted about his fan project in November 2024 and didn’t hear from anyone until 2025.
With the closure of Bluepoint Studio, now feels like the right time to share something.
Sony sent me a cease and desist letter regarding my second Bloodborne remake project that I posted about in November 2024.
I was incredibly excited about this project and worked on it a lot… pic.twitter.com/E1U12fxaWK

The letter was sent to this user in March 2025 and gave the impression that a Bloodborne Remake might actually be in development for the PlayStation 6 with Bluepoint leading the way. Now with the studio closure, and if the project is real, who else could lead the way?
Would a Bloodborne Remake be important to PlayStation right now? It seems Sony wants to create more live service experiences, as they attempted with Concord and what Marathon aims to be.
Sony has never made a mention regarding any potential Bloodborne projects. However, with this piece of information, it almost makes you wonder.
