Call of Duty 2026 is reportedly being developed for the next generation Xbox

It has been reported that Call of Duty 2026 is going to be yet another Modern Warfare title and it is in development for the next generation Xbox.

This has been reported by reliable Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope on X (Twitter) where he states the 2026 Call of Duty release will be Modern Warfare 4. He also suggests the game will have its Traditional UI like the older titles and there will be no support for the old generation being Xbox One and PS4.

What the leaker says that’s most interesting is that “Modern Warfare 4 is being developed on Dev Kits for the Next Xbox”.

There are worries about the future of Warzone and it’s claimed that if Verdansk fails to retain current players or doesn’t draw more in there will be no Warzone 3.

With leaks like this, we must take it with a grain of salt. We are still waiting on news for Call of Duty 2025 which is expected to be another Black Ops title. As for the next Xbox console, there have been reports a new handheld console is in the works, but Microsoft has not made any official announcements at this time.
