
Over the last year, we have seen the price of video game hardware start to rise to a point we’ve never seen before. Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that starting April 2, 2026, the price of its PlayStation 5 consoles will go up once again.
Sony mentions that the global economic landscape has a big impact on the price change. This price increase includes the PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal.
Here are the new prices for the consoles. Most notably, the PS5 Pro will be $900 USD:
