The arrival of Pragmata almost seemed to be out of reach for half a decade. Since its 2020 reveal, it was continuously pushing its release date, that was until the game officially cemented a release date for earlier this year. And even after Capcom finally stuck with a launch date for Pragmata, that date was even moved up alongside including a Nintendo Switch 2 version too.
Since the game’s release, many were enamored by the puzzle combat, breathtaking visuals, and the android Diana companion. Within its first two days, Pragmata shipped over one million units. And before reaching a full month of its release, Capcom went on to verify two million sales then. The game was a surprising success for a new IP for the publisher.
Now recently in anticipation for Father’s Day this month, Capcom is taking the opportunity of Hugh & Diana’s dynamic to release a free DLC in Pragmata. Starting today on June 19th, there will be a new ‘Scribble Suit’ available for the game. There are also other additions included in the new update that went live on Friday.
The update that is available for all platforms lists the new ‘Scribble Suit; Training Simulation #30; Stand or Die Difficulty reduction; minor text corrections implemented. So far, there is no word on what Capcom has fully planned for Pragmata in terms of its post-launch if a premium story add-on will be coming or not.
In our review for Pragmata, Rectify Gaming scored it a 10/10. “It blends intense combat, real time puzzle solving, emotional storytelling, and unforgettable world building into something uniquely its own. After years of uncertainty, Capcom has finally delivered one of the most memorable sci fi adventures of the generation.” You can read the full review by heading here.
