Xbox Game Pass Starter Tier Leak Reveals Discord Nitro & Cloud Streaming Perks

The options that come from Xbox Game Pass are exciting, maybe even overwhelming. The mountain of titles to choose from alone offers backlogs of games to bounce between. Additionally, the same can also be said for the bundled perks too. For Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we’ve seen this with the likes of Fortnite Crew & EA Play. And with the recent price reduction for the subscription, taking advantage of this value is a no brainer.

But, there are more on the horizon it appears. There have been separate tiers that Microsoft has been tinkering with internally. Such as the Cloud Streaming option that has been hinted at previously. Or the first-party service that focuses solely on Xbox Game Studios releases. This week, Windows Central even reported that a ‘pick your own plan’ formula is being discussed at the Xbox firm as well.

Well in a new report from The Verge, a new tier is nearing release it appears with a massive leak for Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition. This new tier comes equipped with an ample list of titles alongside other essential perks that makes gaming on Xbox most ideal. The service includes Discord Nitro as well as features a decent Cloud Streaming package as well for players who game outside of their living room.

The leak comes just days after a big announcement concerning Xbox Game Pass & Discord which certainly shows this new tier will manifest publicly soon. On Wednesday, Xbox boss Asha Sharma announced that Discord is to lay down a new partnership with Xbox and it ties directly with Xbox Game Pass. Now we know the extent at least includes Nitro for this new, unannounced tier.

Other changes for Xbox Game Pass hurls itself directly at the Ultimate option. It was immediately executed that a price decrease from $29.99 to $22.99 would be made. And, future Call of Duty titles would not ship day & date for the subscription either which does held the overall value of Game Pass moving forward.
