Entrusting what the future for Halo Infinite is to become entering Season 2, 343 Industries painted out some additions arriving to the title for next month. In that, there are two new arena maps and one new Big Team Battle map. Additionally, there are two other game modes to be added as well moving forward. However, the promised co-op campaign is still underway in a later update for Season 2, the team confirmed.

But looking ahead, there is more to be excited for. One thing is that add-ons related to the Halo Television Series is underway. Halo Community Director Brian Jarrard told The Washington Post this will segue to bridging the two universes overtime. Elsewhere in one report, Certain Affinity was said to be involved in a new PvPvE mode codenamed ‘Project Tatanka’ for Halo Infinite.

In a new statement this week, the developer verifies its continued involvement with the Halo IP and its latest efforts for Halo Infinite specifically.

Speculating what the team could be working on its speculated to be a Halo Infinite successor to Warzone. No, not the Call of Duty mode. From Halo 5, Warzone was a large-scale battle arena separate from Big Team Battle that worked in PvE mechanics as well. The larger hypothesis from many fans would be the introduction to battle royale, but, there has yet to be any evidence suggesting such currently.

Recently, 343 Industries pressed on one new initiative slated for Halo Infinite: Career Progression. Like most multiplayer games and the releases ahead of Halo Infinite, this latest title does not have an overarching level system. But it is in the works! It is plausible the team at Certain Affinity is also involved in that project as well.

Elsewhere Certain Affinity is also told to be working on a separate Xbox Game Studios project as well. In that, the firm was said by GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb to be involved in a Monster Hunter-like project which went on to be dubbed ‘Project Suerte’. You can read the full report by heading here.
