For roughly a decade, Microsoft has continued to reinvent the definition for itself with gaming. As the Xbox division continues to move forward, changes for how the firm approaches this industry remains to also change as well. Recently, Microsoft CEO Phil Spencer told that this current generation faced the most console users in history of the platform. But, there is an evident push beyond the living room.

Over the past few years, there has been a continued effort to establish itself in new markets – specifically mobile. Already, this has been apparent with Xbox Cloud Gaming currently tied to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. In February, it is said that roughly 10 percent of all users within Xbox are solely playing via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Of course, more avenues for this ambition is to open over time.

In a new finding via a recent TopGear feature on YouTube, it is revealed that smart cars are next to bring Xbox Cloud Streaming to more users. When speaking with Adriana Mudri exploring the interior of the showcased Verne Robotaxi, a glimpse at an app for Xbox was spotted alongside Spotify and Max. This is part of the media interface for passengers when riding in these new automated vehicles.

In hindsight this eagerly suggests that Xbox Cloud Streaming is underway for support on more screens where possible. Previously, Tesla did a similar thing with Steam library support for its electric vehicles. This could indicate more cars could integrate this in due time. Similarly, we saw a jump in compatibility with Amazon Fire Stick just recently landing support for Xbox Cloud Gaming.

What’s more, this is just another example of Xbox Cloud Gaming experimenting with more screens available. At one point, the talk of the town was the ability to stream Xbox Cloud Gaming via Samsung Smart Fridges when total support went live for the service in 2020.
