It was just last month when sources told Eurogamer that the possibilities of a Resident Evil 3 Remake were already pretty high, reaffirming that the project has already been in development for sometime. Now this week it looks that more concrete and tangible detail has seeped through the game leak cracks revealing that the game is prepped to be announced very soon.

According to Gamstat, a domain that retains all data focused on the PlayStation platform, the website this week uploaded a few new images that only supports previous claims of the potential remake for the 1998 title. Sharing that there are two versions of the game listed for Japan: Biohazard RE:3 and Biohazard R:3 Z Version.

Here are the provided images that were discovered from the two listings:

Gathered from the three images, the three images show to be sharing some similarity to already existing titles. One being the font type with Project Resistance, a multiplayer experience set within the Resident Evil universe. And another likeness taken from Resident Evil 7 using the ‘Biohazard’ titling for the project.

Upon more digging through Gamstat, it was also discovered that the website also disclosed the official name for the previously announced Project Resistance. Rather than breaking from the placeholder name for the upcoming online-centered survival horror, the game is keeping the name with the alias Resident Evil Resistance. Concerning what follows this new break of information regarding the highly-anticipated Resident Evil 3 Remake, Capcom has yet to comment as for when exactly the game will be arriving or when we will see a scheduled announcement for the project. Through whispers online and other speculation that is currently making waves, many would suspect that the title could possibly be shown off at this month’s Game Awards ceremony next Thursday.

What are your thoughts on these new images for the unannounced Resident Evil 3 reowrk?
