Crimson Desert: How To Find Darkbringer

Discover everything you need to know about the Darkbringer weapon in Crimson Desert, including how to get it.

Crimson Desert offers multiple weapons for the players to use to defeat the enemies in combat, and Darkbringer is the best of them. The real power of this sword comes from its built-in ability, releasing explosive orbs that travel outward from your attack.

Getting this sword is not challenging, as it doesn’t require you to defeat the boss or solve the puzzle. Darkbringer uses the Abyss Gear system, which means Ator’s Orb ability can be removed and equipped on other weapons. On heavy attacks, it summons homing orbs that do damage, making this weapon essential to obtain.

What is Darkbringer Weapon

Darkbringer is a unique two-handed sword in Crimson Desert that comes with high-damage melee with special ranged effects. This weapon has special built-in mechanics (Abyss Gear), increasing its effectiveness. The weapon includes a special ability called Ator’s Orb that lets you launch explosive projectile orbs when you perform a Forward Slash. This also lets you deal additional ranged damage with melee attacks, making it a powerful weapon to use against elite enemies.

The Ator’s Orb is not permanently locked, so you can remove or equip it on other weapons for a more flexible playstyle. As a two-handed weapon, the Darkbringer excels against tough enemies and bosses and deals heavy, slow but powerful attacks. This weapon has five abyss gear slots and comes with three already equipped. It also has 22 attack, critical rate level 3, and attack speed level 1.

How To Get Darkbringer

Darkbringer in Crimson Desert is located on the north side of Pailune in the White Wastes Sanctuary, to the west of the Silver Wolf Mountain. Go to the northern region of Pailune. Simply fat-travel to the Path of Trials Abyss if you have the Frost Magic. This location is west of Silver Wolf Mountain, north of Whisperleaf Fortress, and near Five-Finger Mountain.

White Wastes Sanctuary Location

The exact location is hidden in fog on the map, even after story progression. I recommend navigating manually using landmarks, not map markers. Head into a snowy biome and look for a large pit or crater and a giant partially buried skeleton. Go down into the pit and approach the skeleton.

Find the Giant Skeleton

Look carefully at the mouth of the skeleton and grab the Darkbringer. You don’t need to solve the puzzle or beat any boss to get this two-handed sword. Before heading out, make sure to grab the memory fragment from this location.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
