Electronic Arts has been discontinuing servers for older games over the years. The next notable victim will be Crytek’s first-person shooter, Crysis 3. The servers for the game will be shutting down on September 7 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One (backwards compatibility), Steam and EA App.

This is a big deal for those who are completionists and aim for 100% Trophy’s on PlayStation or 1000 Gamerscore on Xbox. Once the servers go offline that means you will no longer be able to earn those Achievements in the game and your trophy’s or gamerscore for that game will never be complete.

Thanks to TrueAchievements for pointing out that 23 of Crysis 3’s Achievements require you to play public multiplayer modes.

Currently Crysis 3 is available through EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate so if you subscribe to those services you can play it for free.
