Cyberpunk 2077 will run at 40fps on Nintendo Switch 2

Third-party support is already off to a strong start for Nintendo Switch 2, as the latest direct revealed a variety of new games coming on day one. One of those games is Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition from CD Projekt Red.

When it was announced CD Projekt Red revealed the game would cost $69.99, and that includes the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion. The game will also come with a physical copy that will have a 64GB cartridge.

It was revealed eventually that Cyberpunk 2077 runs at 1080p 40fps in performance mode while the console is docked. In Quality Mode, the game will run at 30fps.

It may seem low that Cyberpunk 2077 will run at 40fps on the Nintendo Switch 2. This is a great reminder that when it was first released in 2020 for Xbox One and PS4, the game would drop below 30fps and as low as 10fps during combat.

On the Nintendo Switch 2, the good news is that Cyberpunk will be in a playable state when it releases for the console on June 5, 2025.
