CD PROJEKT RED has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the upcoming anime set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City, where the action of the Cyberpunk 2077 game takes place. The series is exclusive to Netflix and is launching in Fall 2026.
In Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, there are new characters featured. So far the characters revealed are Weak, D, Roman, Talia, and one that has not been revealed yet.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno and a story written by Bartosz Sztybor of CD PROJEKT RED and Masahiko Otsuka. The main promotional artwork for the new season was also revealed.
The new trailer features the song “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty that is available to stream on all major music platforms.
More will be talked about during Anime Expo this weekend, July 2-5, 2026. CD PROJEKT RED has a panel dedicated to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 for July 3 where attendees will get a first look at the series’ premiere episode. The panel will not be recorded or streamed.
