Halo Studios has released a surprise update for Halo Infinite. Firefight: Gauntlet is now available and is described as a “deviously difficult PvE mode”.
The new Firefight mode features endless enemies from all sides, and your team’s hope is to eliminate the bosses in each arena to stop their reinforcements and progress to the next encounter. There will be five rounds to fight through and the five maps are connected by a supply area where you can gather ammo and equipment, roll for power weapons, or level your Speed, Resistance, Regeneration, and Damage.
Between each round, players will have the chance to upgrade stats and kit out before the next fight. To be victorious, you’ll need to survive all five rounds.
In November 2025, Halo Studios made it clear there wouldn’t be any more major updates to Halo Infinite this year. The reason is that they are focusing on multiple projects. This update comes as a nice surprise for Halo Infinite players to try a new version of the iconic Firefight mode.
