Dark Kombatants – MKX Mobile Challenge Thursday (1/3/19)

Greetings (and Happy New Year), mobile Kombatants! It’s Thursday, and you know what this means: Challenge Thursday. It seems that Netherrealm Studios is really trying to keep gamers on their toes on how many Challenge characters are available this week. Two weeks ago, it was three Characters. Last week, it was one. This week, it’s three again.

This week’s theme is Dark Kombatants. Here are the three challenges:

Dark Raiden (Elder God/Netherrealm):

CORRUPTED ELDER GOD: Bleed, Fire, and Poison will Heal Dark Raiden instead of damaging him. Power Drain gives Power instead of draining it.

Initial Statistics:

• 960 Attack
• 1,050 Health
• 900 Toughness
• 1,000 Recovery
• 100% Power Generation
• Special Attack 1: Electric Fly (Medium damage)
•       ”            ”     2: Shocker (High damage)
•       ”            ”     3/X-Ray: Shock Therapy (Extreme damage)

Tower Challenge:

• IV (12 matches): Gold Characters only
• V (15 matches): Jax Briggs (of any type) must be on your team

Rewards:

• Normal Difficulty: Acquiring Dark Raiden (or another Tier if you already have him)
• Hard Difficulty: A new tier of Dark Raiden plus Storm Hat Armor.

Dark Lord Kotal Kahn (Outworld):

OSH-TEKK BODYGUARD: Dark Lord Kotal Kahn summons an Osh-Tekk warrior to fight in his place after using his Sword Quake (Special Attack 2). Maximum 2 warriors per battle.

Initial Statistics:

• 980 Attack
• 980 Health
• 1,050Toughness
• 1,100 Recovery
• 100% Power Generation
• Special Attack 1: Buzz Saw (Medium damage)
•       ”           ”      2: Sword Quake (High damage)
•       ”           ”      3/X-Ray: Sun Burn (Extreme damage)

Tower Challenge:

• IV (12 matches): Your team must be made up of only Gold Spec Ops Characters
• V (15 matches): Johnny Cage (of any type) must be on your team

Rewards:

• Normal Difficulty: Acquiring Dark Lord Kotal Kahn (or another Tier if you already have him)
• Hard Difficulty: A new Tier of Dark Lord Kotal Kahn plus Sacrificial Knife Weapon

Dark Empress Kitana (Netherrealm):

REVENANT SERVANT: After defeating an opponent, Kitana enslaves the victim to fight for her, once per match. The enslaved does not possess a passive ability or Equipment. Bosses are immune.

Initial Statistics:

• 1,050 Attack
• 850 Health
• 1,150 Toughness
• 1,300 Recovery
• 100% Power Generation
• Special Attack 1: Vortex (Medium damage)
•       ”            ”     2: Fan Toss (High damage)
•       ”            ”     3/X-Ray: Slice and Dice (Extreme damage)

Tower Challenges:

• IV (12 matches): A Netherrealm Character must be on your team.
• V (15 matches): Reptile (of any type) must be on your team.

Rewards:

• Normal Difficulty: Acquire Dark Empress Kitana (or another Tier if you already have her).
• Hard Difficulty: A new Tier of Dark Empress Kitana plus Bladed Fan Weapon.
