Dead Rising 4 has been an exclusive of the Microsoft game library since the original Xbox. However a Capcom rep has hinted that may be changing slightly.
“You’ll be able to play it first on Xbox One and Windows 10” is what Capcom responded when asked if Dead Rising 4 was exclusive or not. The less the definite confirmation raised some eyebrows with people wondering why they wouldn’t just admit it one way or not.
According to games journalist Ryan Brown a Capcom rep has confirmed that Dead Rising will not be a full exclusive for Microsoft. Brown tweeted “Capcom rep says Dead Rising 4 is a 1-year time exclusive for MS.”
This doesn’t necessarily mean the game is coming to PlayStation however, the timed-exclusivity could just be keeping it off Steam. All that can be done currently is just wait for the official announcement Capcom revealing all.
Dead Rising 4 is due out this Christmas holiday for Xbox One and PC, and sees players reprise the role of journalist Frank West as he returns to Wilamette, Colorado once again.
