Descenders Next To Ship This April For Xbox & PC

On Xbox, Descenders has become synonymous with Xbox Game Pass. The title was there back in 2020 when Microsoft began rolling out cloud streaming for then-xCloud. Additionally, Descenders is also included in Xbox Game Pass; notably Xbox Game Pass Core which went live back in 2023. And the next entry is on the way.

This past summer in August 2024, developer RageSquid announced Descenders Next. The game showcased new extreme sports to tread in exciting downhill adventures. At the recent IGN ID@Xbox Showcase, it was revealed that Descenders Next will launch this April. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“This sequel to the downhill biking Game Pass sensation, Descenders Next broadens its scope to include multiple ways to go really, really fast down a mountain. Promising to be the ultimate extreme sports game, tackle multiple biomes on snowboards and mountainboards when it arrives,” the overview on Xbox Wire reads.

In its Steam post, the developer revealed that a demo for the game is now live and will also be Steam Deck ready come release this spring. “We’ve been so excited to finally bring you Descenders Next, so we knew we had to mark the occasion with even more celebration… So, following on from the beta, a brand new demo for Descenders Next is now LIVE! […] Descenders Next also runs great on Steam Deck, so you can hit the slopes wherever you are, and grind for those DesCents!”

Part of the announcement also confirmed that Descenders Next will launch for Xbox Game Pass in April. This was cemented alongside other titles including Buckshot Roulette, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon.
