Ahead of tomorrow’s reveal stream Bungie has revealed the release date of the upcoming Destiny expansion.
Rise of Iron will release on the 20th of September for only the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, there will be no last generation compatibility with this upcoming expansion. Although this move was unanticipated, it has so far been welcomed as it allows Bungie to optimise this expansion.
The release date was not the only reveal about Rise of Iron that came today. The Xbox Store site also inadvertently revealed what guardians can expect from the expansion. Along with the normal new quests, strike, armour sets and weapons there will also be a new raid and social space coming on September the 20th. Also the store revealed the expansion will take place in a new area on Earth called the Plaguelands.
None of this has been officially revealed by Bungie yet, but with a stream scheduled for tomorrow it won’t be too long before we have either a confirmation or a denial. Stay tuned to Rectify as we will ensure to update you with more information when we know. Guardians out.
