Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, & Pauline will join Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The latest Nintendo Direct showcased news on games we knew about already and it had its fair share of announcements. A few announcements included Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Princess Peach Showtime, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and more. This presentation also included news about Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

It was revealed that Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Pauline, and Peachette will all be joining Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo Switch soon. The DLC will feature Daisy Circuit from Mario Kart Wii. Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass will come this Holiday season.

The new character additions came as a surprise since there were only two mystery slots left in-game. However, it was not surprising to see Pauline join as it was leaked before this announcement. Other information about the other courses has yet to be revealed.
