Last week, Game Awards’ very own Geoff Keighley disclosed in a Reddit post that this year’s video game awards ceremony will be comprised of roughly 10 new announcements that will be showcased throughout the annual show. Specifically, Keighley denounced any rumors stating that Resident Evil 3 Remake would be present at the show. But for what will actually be revealed, it looks that more opportunity has opened.

Just today, independent game publisher Devolver Digital tweeted that the company is planning on announcing a new game at the show in Los Angeles.

Regarding the game itself that will be shown was not shared in the post. But regardless, this does give anticipated viewers something to anticipate as they watch The Game Awards later this Thursday. If going by the near dozen that Keighley suggested last week, then this would now be the second game announcement that will be present at the award ceremony.

Back in November, former Arkane Studios developers Raphael Colantonio and Julien Roby officially announced to be creating a small scale studio, WolfEye Studios. Upon disclosing their ambitions to break away from the Bethesda-acquired studio and open WolfEye specifically, the two did reveal that their first project would be announced during the approaching Game Awards show later in December.

What are you hoping to see at The Game Awards?

The Game Awards goes live on December 12, 2019 at 5:30 PM PST / 8:30 PM EST.
