Those that enjoyed games ranging from Remember Me, Life is Strange, Vampyr, or the latest Twin Mirror, you are a fan of Dontnod Entertainment. The French-based developer since its founding has revised its identity predating back to 2018 with the title aforementioned already. Prior to that, it was Dont Nod Entertainment. However, 2022 will be readdressing the name of the developer once more.

This week, the team hinted that it will be making a new announcement that its followers would like to see come the day after. On Tuesday, Dontnod Entertainment officially rebranded once more back to its roots with Don’t Nod simply being the new name for the game studio. Since its founding, the firm has since expanded opening a new division in Montreal, Canada over a year ago.

The reveal for its new identity also comes with a visual use of the new logo painted after the handful of titles that Don’t Nod is working on internally. You can view the video below:

“I am very proud of the journey that DON’T NOD has been on over the past 14 years. The company has evolved in many ways with a strong will to lead the way in creating and curating meaningful entertainment, through original and relatable stories, which empower our talents and players to inspire change, however small. This new brand’s visual overhaul will help us convey our core identity,” CEO Oskar Guilbert writes.

In the blog post, the team verifies its involvement on six self-published titles. According to an interview with GamesBeat, Guilbert pressed on the matter early on. Prior to that, the firm said it opened the Montreal branch in efforts of one unnamed IP to put the new project into scale compared to previous work. The developer also teamed with Tencent to work on a separate unannounced title as well later on.

“To celebrate DON’T NOD’s 14th anniversary, we’ve undergone a new visual identity as part of our ongoing evolution to better reflect who we are as a company today!” the description for the trailer reads. “We’re happy to share this reel to showcase our new logo. It is an adaptable design and can be tailored to represent our different game genres and universes, and it just so happens we have several upcoming projects to test its versatility on…”
